Defender Unveils the Defender 90 Sedona Red at Destination Defender

From Land Rover:

Mahwah, NJ – Monday May 18, 2026: Defender, the original British adventure brand, unveiled the Defender 90 Sedona Red to enthusiasts at Destination Defender this past weekend. Set against the natural backdrop of the Hudson Valley, the three‑day adventure festival at Cedar Lakes Estate in Port Jervis, New York, brought the Defender community together for immersive driving experiences, outdoor programming, and shared cultural moments.

Currently limited to 100 units, the Defender 90 Sedona Red is inspired by the striking natural beauty of Sedona, Arizona – a destination synonymous with adventure, mindful escapism and red‑rock landscapes. That influence is reflected in the exclusive exterior finish of Sedona Red Metallic, which captures the deep red hue of Arizona’s iron‑rich sandstone formations. Additional accents include a black signature graphic, hood decal, body‑colored spare tire cover gloss black side gear carrier.

“The Defender 90 Sedona Red is a tribute to the raw, red‑rock wilderness that defines its namesake. It’s built for those who seek the path less traveled, mirroring the very landscapes where the unrivaled capability of the Defender brand is truly at home.”

JOE EBERHARDT
PRESIDENT AND CEO, JLR NORTH AMERICA

Built as a 2026 Defender 90 P400 X‑Dynamic SE, the Sedona Red is powered by a 3.0‑liter inline six‑cylinder engine producing 395 horsepower and 406 lb‑ft of torque and is offered alongside the Defender 90 V8 powertrain.

The interior pairs premium materials with purposeful design, featuring Ebony Windsor Leather, a dark grey cross car beam, and illuminated treadplates that enhance comfort and craftsmanship. New for 2026, all Defender models benefit from a facelift that enhances both usability and visual presence. A redesigned front headlight and rear taillight signature, complemented by a standard gloss black grille bar, patterned hood finisher, updated side vents, refreshed front and rear bumper inserts, and gloss black wheel caps featuring the Defender script. A new 13.1‑inch PIVI Pro touchscreen enhances visibility and usability at the center of the cabin.

Completing this purpose‑built vehicle, a suite of features including Air Suspension, Cold Climate Pack, and Advanced Off‑Road Packs ensures confidence across a wide range of terrains and weather conditions. When raised to its highest setting, the Defender 90 Sedona Red offers up to 11.6 inches of ground clearance, paired with an approach angle of 37.4 degrees and a departure angle of 39.8 degrees. A maximum wading depth of 35.4 inches further emphasizes its readiness for true adventure.

The Defender 90 Sedona Red embodies a deep connection to place and exploration. It invites drivers to experience adventure with purpose wherever the journey leads.
