The Peak to Peak Challenge is where that knowledge meets the real world. Across the Carrara quarries in Italy, Range Rover Sport Electric navigates slippery marble dust, steep climbs and tight, twisting roads, putting the vehicles traction, control and electric capability to the test.
No artificial test environment, no computer-generated terrain, and no modified conditions. Just a production vehicle, a highly experienced development driver, and one of the world’s most demanding landscapes.
Driving from peak to peak through active marble quarries means navigating sheer drops, sharp rock surfaces, and a fine layer of marble powder that reduces grip and constantly changes beneath the tyres. In these conditions, Intelligent Torque Management constantly adjusts torque delivery within milliseconds, helping maintain traction and control.
New Range Rover Sport Electric combines exceptional composure with responsive performance, helping create a confident and connected driving experience whether climbing loose quarry tracks, descending steep gradients or threading through twisting mountain roads. A bespoke chassis tune, supported by Dynamic Air Suspension and Adaptive Dynamics, continuously prepares the vehicle for the terrain ahead, helping deliver the dynamic agility, body control and driver confidence that define Range Rover Sport Electric.
This latest challenge continues a long tradition of landmark Range Rover Sport feats. From a record-breaking ascent of Pikes Peak, to conquering Heaven’s Gate in China and scaling an Icelandic spillway, Range Rover Sport has consistently demonstrated its ability in environments that push both driver and vehicle to their limits. This time, it’s among the 3,000ft peaks of the Carrara quarries.
